  • Do I Need To Attach A Gadget To My Skin?

    Evexia uses the latest technology for optimal performance and capabilities.  Users can measure vital signs in a matter of seconds, at any time and from any location using their smartphone, iPad, laptop, or desktop.


    Evexia uses rPPG technology for contactless measurements via the front-facing camera of smartphones, laptops or desktops and PPG for contact-based measurements via smartphone rear cameras.  No additional gadgets are needed.

  • How Are Images & Videos Stored?

    Evexia does not save images or input video streams used for measurement.  Measurement results are saved for historical purposes and user convenience. 


    All results are secured, encrypted and accessible only by the end users and account admins who have access permissions.  This is set up in account preferences.

  • Can I Download Reports & Analysis?

    Users can view and download personal trends, historical data and health indicators from the user portal within the application.

  • Who Has Access To Extracted Data?

    Evexia has user access controls and only users with the right access profiles can access data.  Purchasing organisations define the access controls required by their end-users (patients, medica, admin and management teams).

  • How Does Evexia Work?

    Contactless Video-based Monitoring


    For contactless data extraction, Evexia uses rPPG (remote photoplethysmographic imaging).  rPPG is a camera-based solution for contactless cardiovascular monitoring, proven to be as accurate as traditional PPG devices. 


    Contact-based Monitoring


    MIT Media Lab's Joy Buolamwini and Timnit Gebru from Stanford's research study (2018) demonstrated how three commercially released facial-analysis programs from major technology companies demonstrate both skin-type and gender biases.  The conclusion supported by other researcher is that potentially, such applications are detremental and have consequences for those who fall under these categories.


    Evexia has another approach for extracting measurements to cater for difficult scenarios.  Evexia uses a contact-based solution which extracts a PPG signal when the user places their finger on the rear camera of a smartphone.  
    Evexia automatically detects when conditions are not ideal for contactless rPPG extraction and suggests using the contact-based extraction.


    Monitoring Mental Stress


    Evexia uses the Baevsky Stress Index and heart rate variability (SDNN and/or RRi raw data) measurements to calculate users’ stress levels and provides easy-to-read stress results on a 5 point scale: low, normal, mild, high, and extremely high.  Our development partners are seasoned experts in the field of technology and AI.  The features and functionality continuousley undergo various phases of testing, both in-house and externally at academic institutions (as part of clinical studies) and at medical labs.


    Extracting Measurements


    Health measurements are extracted from a video stream of exposed skin on the surface of a human face.  The video stream is analysed with advanced AI and deep learning algorithms, including computer vision technology and signal processing. No identifiable features or demographic data (e.g., eyes, height, gender, weight, etc.) are needed.  In approximately one minute, users can measure blood pressure, heart rate, heart rate variability (SDNN and/or RRi raw data), oxygen saturation, respiration rate, sympathetic stress, parasympathetic activity and pulse-respiration quotient.


    Evexia runs on the user's device, enabling them to perform scans without connection to the internet.  When offline, results will not be recorded in measurement history.

  • What Connectivity Is Needed?

    No connetivity is required to use Evexia.  However, data is not stored as history.

  • What Are Evexia User Licenses?

    Evexia is a software as a service (SaaS) user model.  


    Affiliate Partners, businesses, NGOs and government organisations can purchase end-user licenses (patients, employees, other workforce) on a monthly or annual basis.  If you are looking for a contract longer than a year, please Get in Touch and we would be happy to discuss your requirements and provide a quote.

  • How Do I Purchase Evexia?

    The process for buying Evexia is pretty straight forward.  


    1. Once you express an interest and get in touch with us using the contact forms on this website, one of our colleagues will get back to you to discuss your requirements.


    2. We will demo the solution and provide examples of how you can adopt Evexia.  We will provide the relevant suppoting documentation to help you in your decision-making.


    3. If you are ready to proceed with us our team will be happy to provide a quote for the number of users and likely volume of usage.  We will require a project commencement note (PCN) to proceed.


    4. With the PCN in hand, we will provide you with the invoice for payment.


    5. Once payment has been made, Mahiri-Telehealth will begin the setup and deployment of your service.


    6. Please note, setup and deploment timeframes vary depending on the degree of customisation and branding required, complexity of Affliate Partner, business, NGO or government organisation legacy systems and integration required.
